Doctoral thesis: Contribution to the study of electroconvection induced by unipolar injection in the presence or absence of a thermal gradient. Supervisor: Antonio Castellanos Mata.

Main scientific results:

Mathematical analysis of the comparative influence of coulombian diffusion and repulsion on charge distribution in electroconvection produced by unipolar injection.
Study of the chaotic distribution of charge produced by a laminar flow, through the lamellar chaotic loading mixture, in the electroconvection produced by unipolar injection.
Study of the dynamics of a conductive ball immersed in a little conductor fluid. The ball experiences regular pots when subjected to a constant electric field. When an alternating component is added to the field, a bifurcation of period splitting is produced.
Experimental study of the electrohydrodynamic instabilities produced on a thin layer of liquid little conductor by the injection of load by corona effect from a point to high tension.
Design of a technique capable of measuring the electrophoretic mobility of colloidal particles in low conductive media. This technique has been used with suspensions of PMMA particles of 10 microns up to 30% concentration by volume. It is found that mobility does not vary with concentration.
Numerical study of instabilities and electro-thermo-hydrodynamic flows.
