Lines of investigation: Physics-chemistry of gas discharges at atmospheric pressure. / Electrohydrodynamics and electrokinetics of suspensions and colloids.

Main scientific results:

A powerful numerical method, suitable for the simulation of electrical discharges of gases.
A plasma-chemical model of stationary corona discharge in oxygen. It is shown that by including the decomposition of ozone in the walls, the experimental ozone concentration is accurately predicted.
Numerical simulations of the accumulation of a layer of colloidal particles in an electrode. The model reproduces the main characteristics of the current-voltage relationship.
Experimental and theoretical study of the dynamics of a conductive ball in a little conductor liquid subjected to an electric field. The non-linear map that describes the dynamics of the ball is closely related to the standard map and to the classic problem of a ball bouncing on a mobile table.
