Abstract:

We have studied the formation of non-travelling intrinsic localized modes in a real electric lattice. Using a very simple model we can describe the system and comparison between theory and experiments shows a reasonable agreement.  We have studied the mechanism responsible for ILM motion. Mobility emerges as a result of the dc distorsion associated with the breather profile. We demonstrate the posibility of experimental manipulation of ILM motion in an electrical lattice
