Abstract:

A tight binding model for charge transport along 3D DNA is proposed. Different values of adjustable parameters lead to very different transport mechanisms through the coupling with the radial or twist modes. This mechanisms are also very different with respecto to disorder survival and interaction with a base pair inhomogeneity.
