Main scientific results:

Description of new fluid flows in microsystems induced by alternating electric fields (ac electroosmosis and electrothermal flows), and their influence on dielectrophoresis.
Experimental and numerical determination of the critical electric fields necessary to support a liquid bridge of slenderness and volume given.
New cone-shaped interface solutions between dielectric liquids subjected to electric fields, so that the study is an extension of the classic Taylor result for the formation of tips in conductive liquids to dielectric liquids.
Description of a novel device for measuring different properties of cohesive granular media using the fluid bed technique.
Theoretical explanation and experimental measurement of fluid flow induced by electric fields in microsystems called "ac electroosmosis".
